Transitions

On Friday, President McRobbie announced that I will serve as Interim President and CEO of the Indiana University Foundation, effective January 1, 2021. Now that the Bicentennial Campaign has concluded, Dan Smith has chosen to return to teaching at the Kelley School of Business.

I take this opportunity now to share some more personal thoughts with you.

I would not have accepted this appointment if our organization and work was not an essential part of the job. I am overjoyed that I remain CEO of the IU Alumni Association. Taking on additional responsibilities is possible because we have such a strong team of current and former board members, volunteers, executive leaders, managers, and staff members. This interim appointment is an indicator of the confidence that IU leadership and the IU Foundation Board has in all of us here at IUAA.

So, let’s continue the important work we do to support our mission of helping those who love IU advance one another and Indiana University.
