It’s time again for my annual last call for nominations before they close for the coming fiscal year. Don’t worry – I accept nominations for outstanding Executive Council and Board of Managers all year around – but if you want your candidate (or yourself) to be included in this year’s pool of candidates, get your nominations in by September 30.
It’s also time to notify you of the volunteers that already work within this governing process to ensure a smooth election. You see, each spring, IUAA members confirm a slate of nominees for the IUAA’s advisory group, the Executive Council, and its governing body, the Board of Managers. The final roster of nominees is developed by the IUAA Governance Committee, led by chair-elect Josh Kornberg, BA’12, with members Christian Carroll, BA’91; Sharmaine Ellison, ASN’87, BSN’00, MPM’19; Michele Johns BS’82, JD’89; Kathy Koehler, MPA’98; Bobby Lassiter, DPT’08; Yung Nguyen, BS’89, MD’95; Angela Perez, BS’19; Jeannie Sager, MA’03; Steve Sanders, BA’84; Terri Tock, BGS’00; Frank Vukovits, BS’94, MSIS’02; Etta Ward, BA’95, MA’08; and Dawn Whitehead, BA’97, MS’03, PhD’07.
The Canvassing Committee, which counts the ballots and certifies the election, is led by secretary Jeannie Sager, MA’03, and includes members Rob DeCleene, BS’94, and Mautrice Meriweather, BA’01, MA’15.
