Fun Activities for IU Kids

As families continue to juggle online school and working from home, it is easy to become stuck in a monotonous routine. We’ve put together kid-friendly resources (some of them printable!) to keep our young IU fans entertained during these unusual times. Whether your little ones prefer coloring or solving puzzles, we’ve got you covered – and of course, adults can participate too!

  • Flex your biggest muscle – your brain – with our IU Word Search and IU Crossword Puzzle. I’ve created these activities and have included 3 levels, so see how far you can challenge yourself! Not only will you think hard to solve these puzzles, you might also learn something new about IU. Ages: 7+. Also, complete the Hoosier Scavenger Hunt to see how many IU-related items you can find in your house. Beware: this could cause major nostalgia for IU’s beautiful campus in the fall. Ages: 5+. For all of these resources, reach out to me by email at zoeberen@iu.edu and I’ll send you some awesome customized and printable sheets!
  • Check out a ton of activities suggested by the IU School of Medicine blog series. All ages.
  • Explore this list of IU Athletics coloring pages that just might satisfy your craving for fall sports. If you’ve always wanted to color Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium, this one is for you! It also includes many additional IU-themed coloring pages. Ages: 3+.
  • Check out these free coloring pages from IU Press to get a taste of the Color Your Campus – Indiana University coloring book. You might have so much fun that you’ll have to purchase a copy of the book! Ages: 3+.
  • IU East alum Mandy Ford, BA’01, created a cool Red Wolves coloring page that links to her other artwork. Ages: 3+.

Enjoy these resources and don’t forget to let me know what you think of them.
