You may remember that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 trustee election was postponed. That means that two alumni-elected trustees will be chosen in 2021.
- A Three-year term: Currently this is Donna Spears’s seat.
- An Additional Two-year term: Pat Shoulders agreed to serve for one additional year because of the pandemic. The newly elected person will serve the remaining two years of that term.
The candidate with the highest number of votes will serve the normal three-year term. The candidate with the next highest number of votes will serve an abbreviated two-year term.
- Candidates must submit their materials, including signatures of alumni supporting their candidacy, by April 1. Signatures, for the first time this year, can be submitted electronically. Candidates will be verified and announced by April 7.
- The IUAA website will be updated with candidate information by approximately April 20.
- Voting opens June 1 and ends on June 30.
- Paper ballots will be sent approximately the second week in May to hit mailboxes by June 1.
- Emails will be sent to all eligible voters on approximately June 1, June 12, and June 26
