Since 2008, the IU LGBTQ+ Alumni Association has gathered for Celebration Weekend to acknowledge and honor the achievements of IU LGBTQ+ alumni, staff, faculty, and students. In 2021 we will gather online to remain safe from COVID-19. While we will miss our in-person festivities, this is an opportunity to be more inclusive in our recognitions and celebrations.

Representation matters and one of the best ways to represent is to run for office. We’ll be in conversation with five IU LGBTQ+ alumni who have made the decision to run for office in Indiana. We’ll discuss the good, the bad, and why it matters.

Lunch & Learn with the Kinsey Institute: Sunday, March 7 | 1:00 p.m.
With your favorite midday food and drink in hand, join your IU LGBTQ+ Alumni Association for an update from the Kinsey Institute. Dr. Justin Garcia, Director, and Dr. Amanda Gesselman, Researcher, will share the latest about their research, collections at Kinsey, and exciting collaborations with The Trevor Project. There will also be Q&A with Drs. Garcia and Gesselman.

Silent Auction: Bidding Starts March 1 | Noon
Our silent auction raises money for the LGBTQ+AA’s philanthropic priorities such as grants for student-led education initiatives, alumni events and communications, and merit- and emergency-based scholarships. The auction will open at noon starting March 1 and will close at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6.
