Celebrate IU Day 2020

The annual IU Day is April 23, and it’s sure to be a worldwide celebration of all things IU. There are plenty of ways to celebrate, such as watching IU videos and games, wearing your favorite IU gear, and attending official campus and community events.

IU Day is the world’s biggest IU party, but it’s also a day to reflect on the incredible memories you’ve made at this university. As we look toward IU’s future, we want to ensure that students in the years to come are able to enjoy the same incredible experience. That’s why we ask for your help in giving back to the place that gave us so many connections worth celebrating.

Get Together and Give Back

IU Day is an opportunity to participate in crowdfunding initiatives, service projects, or to host a special event to celebrate our alma mater. Last year alone, we were able to raise more than $30,000 for IU student scholarships.

Get Social

Share your celebration with the hashtag #IUday. That way, you can connect with IU alumni from all around the world. Whether you’re wearing your favorite IU gear, baking a cream and crimson cake, or just celebrating with friends—we’d love to see it!

Let's Get Started

Below are the instructions for initiating your IU Day Campaign. For more information, please visit the IU Day webpage.

Step 1: Activation

Complete and submit the IU Day Campaign activation form.

Step 2: Training

Once your activation is reviewed and approved, you’ll receive a training video that explains the available resources, reporting requirements, and expectations of this core campaign.

Step 3: Resources

Once you’ve viewed the training video, a member of the IUAA Alumni Communities team will provide you with access to campaign-specific resources, including:

  • Email copy
  • Thank you cards
  • Social media copy and images
  • Event registration form

Step 4: Reporting

Complete the IU Day Campaign reporting form by April 24. We’ll ask how you celebrated IU Day—did you have an event, participate in crowdfunding, host a community service event, or take part on social media? Maybe your group did all of the above? Share your successes with us!
